E-Sulphur

Sulphur, a valuable commodity and integral component of the world economy, is a non-metallic chemical element identified by the letter S.

Sulphur is used to manufacture numerous products, including fertilisers and other chemicals, and is a vital nutrient for crops, animals and people.

Our privately developed desulphurisation plant, one of only two in the world, removes more than 90 percent of sulphur components from waste gas. This results in a significant decrease in the annual emissions of the pollutant sulphur dioxide. Each month, our plant produces around 200 tonnes of high purity sulphur (approx. 98%) slurry that we supply for various industrial applications.

Sulphur uses:

  • Sulphur fertilisers
  • Metallurgical ore leaching
  • Pigments
  • Pulp and paper chemicals
  • Incinerators
  • Petroleum refining
  • Batteries
  • Detergents
  • Fungicides
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Personal care products
  • Cosmetics
  • Rubber vulcanisation
  • Building materials
  • Water treatment
